Very Rev. Dan Reehil, V.F. is a Roman Catholic priest whose powerful journey from the high-pressure world of global finance to the front lines of spiritual warfare has made him one of today’s most dynamic and influential Catholic voices. Born in Mineola, New York on August 4, 1965, Fr. Dan grew up immersed in family and faith, yet drifted from the Church for many years before a profound conversion experience transformed his life and call.
After graduating from the University of Dayton and building a successful decade-long career in Global Trade and Finance in Manhattan — including roles at American Express and Citicorp — Fr. Dan sensed a deeper hunger for meaning in life and faith. A pilgrimage to Medjugorje in 1998, where he received the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time in over two decades, became the pivotal moment that reawakened his soul and planted the seeds of his vocation to the priesthood.
His path to priesthood was unconventional and deeply formative. After beginning seminary studies, he spent five years as a contemplative hermit in Omaha, Nebraska, embracing the Evangelical Counsels of poverty, chastity, and obedience before completing his theological formation.
Ordained on July 26, 2014, Fr. Dan was first assigned as Parochial Vicar and later Pastor of St. Edward Parish in Nashville, Tennessee. In 2020, he became Pastor of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Columbia, Tennessee, and was appointed Vicar Forane (Dean) of the Southern Deanery. He also serves with the special trust of his bishop as the Exorcist for the Diocese of Nashville, ministering compassionately and faithfully in the spiritual life of the Church.
Since 2020, Fr. Dan has served as National Director of Radio Maria USA, where he hosts the popular program Battle Ready with Fr. Dan Reehil — a broadcast and podcast equipping Catholics to understand Scripture, spiritual warfare, prayer, and Catholic teaching in a culture increasingly hostile to faith.
From Wall Street banker to priestly shepherd, contemplative hermit, radio host, and diocesan exorcist, Fr. Dan’s story resonates uniquely with men and families seeking depth, courage, and transformation. He travels nationally speaking on spiritual warfare, the Catholic faith, evangelization, prayer, Marian devotion, and authentic discipleship.
