Very Reverend James M. Sullivan has attended the Connecticut Catholic Men’s Conference since its first year and was jointly appointed in 2017 as the statewide Men’s Conference Chaplain by Archbishop Leonard P. Blair, Bishop Frank J. Caggiano, and Bishop Michael R. Cote.

Father Jim is widely known as one of the most active and pastorally engaged priests in the Archdiocese of Hartford. His presence at the conference has been steady, faithful, and deeply supportive of the mission to strengthen Catholic men across Connecticut.

In 2018, Father Jim personally telephoned every man who purchased a conference ticket online—offering encouragement, prayerful support, and an invitation to bring another brother with him. That simple gesture reflects his shepherd’s heart and personal commitment to the spiritual growth of Catholic men.

Father Jim currently serves as Rector of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Waterbury, Connecticut.
