Parish Outreach Program
Parishes play a vital role in helping to promote the Connecticut Catholic Men’s Conference. We invite you to join our Parish Outreach Team for your parish—your support makes a real difference.
The responsibilities are light but important, beginning once the conference date is set and tickets go on sale (usually in July). As a Parish Captain, your main role is simply to:
Speak with your pastor once a month leading up to the conference, asking him to encourage men from the parish and support pulpit announcements.
Ensure weekly bulletin notices are included so that parishioners see consistent reminders.
Connect with the men’s group (if your parish has one) and help generate interest in attending.
Display the conference poster prominently in your parish as soon as it arrives (usually in August). Each year we design a beautiful poster, and its visibility is a simple but powerful tool for outreach.
With just these few steps, you can help spread the word and inspire many men to take part. Many hands make light work, and we are truly grateful for every Parish Outreach Captain who joins us in this mission.
If you are unsure whether your parish already has a captain, simply email the Director at [email protected], and we’ll confirm.

Represent the Men's Conference in your Church!
You have successfully joined our Parish Captain list.
Recruit volunteers and solicit volunteers to help you pass out Conference literature and invite male parishioners to attend the conference (there is no real substitute for this that works as well to successfully recruit men to attend the conference):
Plan how you will staff, schedule volunteers for after Masses and make every effort to hand out literature according to the schedule in the promotion timetable document.
